As a Chief Physician with us, you will work with healthy individuals and become part of a larger context and part of people's dreams and future. Together, we ensure that the right people are entrusted with contributing to societal safety in various ways.

At the assessment units, Chief Physicians, psychologists, nurses, and administrators work together with our case handlers. In total, we are about 75 colleagues in Stockholm working together to achieve our goals. In Stockholm, we are located on Gärdet in nice premises with easy access to the subway.

Your responsibilities

In the role of Chief Physician, you will conduct medical examinations and medical assessments of applicants for training and employment within the Swedish Armed Forces and other clients, such as the Police Authority. In addition to on-site medical examinations and assessments, you will also handle and evaluate supplementary certificates and answer questions from the public and applicants.

Your qualifications

We are looking for you who

• are a licensed physician with a license issued by the National Board of Health and Welfare
• have specialist competence in a clinical specialty that we deem suitable
• have several years of experience within your specialty

Your personal qualities

We see that you are a person who can take responsibility for your tasks, structuring and driving your processes forward. You contribute quality to everything you do and are meticulous in your work. You can also see the big picture and take the broader perspective into account.

You have the ability to quickly change your perspective if needed and see the opportunities in change. You collaborate well with others and relate to them in a listening and flexible manner. You work as part of a "chain" together with other doctors, nurses, and psychologists. The volume of work may vary from day to day, which means you need to be able to adjust your pace. We also see that you can adapt your way of communicating depending on the person in front of you.

About the position

We offer you a fixed-term position with immediate start, subject to agreement. The fixed-term contract extends until June 30, 2027.

Due to the nature of the operations, you cannot work from home, but we hope this will instead contribute to a clearer separation between work and leisure. We offer you at least 28 days of vacation, up to 35 days depending on age. You work daytime hours, have the opportunity to exercise for 2 hours during working hours per week, and are offered a favorable wellness allowance. Before employment, we conduct a security clearance according to the provisions of the Security Protection Act. Employment entails an obligation to be war-placed.

At the Duty and Assessment Authority, we work to make Sweden safer. Our main task is to muster, enroll in basic training, and register personnel in the wartime organization. We also conduct tests and assessments for other authorities, such as the Police and the Swedish Defence University College. In short: we ensure that the right people end up in the right place in the total defense.
